Founder and CEO –
Mr. Raymond LEUNG

Raymond Leung is the Chairman and CEO of the company and founder of the Group. After graduating from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1991, he embarked upon a career in the design and manufacture of innovative rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries.

Raymond's extensive experience and his strong, focused leadership have charged the growth of TWS since its establishment in 1998. In addition to formulating the Group's business, marketing and technological development strategies, Raymond is responsible for maintaining customer relationships worldwide.

Raymond has been honored with the Young Industrialist Awards of Hong Kong (2004) and the Outstanding Entrepreneur Award (2005), both in recognition of his outstanding entrepreneurship and his contributions to industry and society. Additionally, he is an enthusiastic philanthropist and holds advisory positions on a number of public bodies and charities in Hong Kong and China.

Finance / Head of Finance –
Mr. Joseph LIANG
(MA, Accounting)

Joseph Liang brings more than 30 years of financial and senior executive experience to TWS in his role as CFO. Joseph started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has held a variety of financial positions in various multinational corporations in Hong Kong and China including Sealand Service Inc. and Yantian International Container Terminals. Before joining TWS, Joseph was an Associate Professor in the Business and Management Division of Beijing Normal University – Hong Kong Baptist University United International College.

Joseph is the Head of Finance, responsible for the Group's financial management, legal, internal audit, treasury operations, company secretarial and investor relations functions.

Joseph holds a Master's degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Fellow member of various professional bodies including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, ACCA and HKSA.

Executive Vice President –
Strategy / Chief Technologist –
Mr. Percy LAM (MSc)

Percy Lam has more than 30 years' experience with Fortune 500 companies, in global management, engineering and technology development. Prior to joining TWS, Percy spent 26 years with Motorola as VP and General Manager in the Energy Systems Group and Automotive Electronics Business Group. He was in charge of the R&D, Technology Development and Business Operations of the two businesses for Asia. He built a strong reputation for establishing a new Engineering and Design Center in Shanghai, winning new key projects in Automotive Engine Control and Telematics projects with key automotive customers in its first year of establishment. After leaving Motorola, Percy held senior management positions at various leading electronics, semiconductor and green energy companies.

Percy is responsible for steering the group's technology and product development as well as focusing on new business opportunities, strategic partnership and corporate social responsibilities and collaboration opportunities with universities, industry leaders and government bodies.

Group Scientist –
William WU (PhD)

Dr. William WU has over 15 years' experience in the Lithium-ion battery industry. In the late 1990s, he was engaged in developing the first generation Lithium-ion Polymer battery. He was in charge of the cell design and product development of Lithium-ion Polymer batteries for commercial applications at Ultralife Corporation, a leading Lithium-ion technology pioneer in the USA. He also established fully automated mass production lines to produce the Lithium-ion battery developed for Ultralife. From 2002 to 2007, William was the CTO at QANPT, Qingdao, China to mass-produce Lithium-ion batteries, and developed LFP Lithium-ion batteries for EV applications in collaboration with their US technology partner. Prior to working with TWS, he was a Principal Engineer at the National Institute of Clear-and-low-carbon Energy, Beijing China, in charge of designing and developing battery technology for scaled energy storage systems.

William has published over 20 technical papers on Lithium-ion battery technology and materials and has been granted six patents. In his early academic life, he taught at the Department of Chemistry, East China Normal University, Shanghai, China for 5 years. He received his Ph. D. in Chemistry of Materials from the University of Waterloo, Canada.

Human Resources and Operations –
Ms. Eva LAU (MBA)

Eva Lau has more than 25 years' experience working for well-known international companies like Motorola (including Motorola University), Seagram and Coats as well as local private companies. During her years of service, she has been responsible for profit and loss, organizational restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, building new manufacturing plants and offices, handling multi-cultural executives' competency assessments, promotions, career development, performance feedback, executive coaching, and retrenchment. Eva is strong in organizational development and effectiveness, change management, corporate brand building, talent acquisition and development, team building, organization strategy, corporate planning and succession planning.

In addition to formulating the corporate strategy and organizational development of the Group, Eva is responsible for human resources, IT, supply chain management, quality and the entire manufacturing & engineering operations.

Vice President –
Business Development
(Americas & EMEA) –

Gordon brings more than 20 years of business development experience to his role as the business head in the Americas & EMEA regions. Gordon embarked on a career in electronic system design of automatic test systems after graduation, which led to roles in customer support and finally to a career in sales & marketing. Before joining TWS, he was the global business head of VARTA Microbattery GmbH.

Gordon now leads the Americas and EMEA sales team to take care of the Group's business in these regions. He is also responsible for the Europe Design Center focused on Battery Management Systems projects supporting the European automobile market.

Gordon graduated from the University of Paisley, Scotland with a BSc (Hons) in Electronic Engineering.

Vice President –
Business Development (Asia) –
Brian NG
(BSc, Chartered Engineer, MIEE & MIEEE)

Brian brings more than 25 years' experience in Sales and Account Management in 3C and technology products to his role as Vice President (Asia) at TWS. He has a track record in formulating sales strategy and expanding new market segments as well as embodying strong customer and partner relationship, particularly in Asian markets. Prior to joining TWS, Brian was Vice President of Flextronics and held senior management positions at various renowned technology and communications companies such as Nokia, Motorola and Nortel.

Brian now leads the Asia winning team for TWS business in Asia including Greater China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and other Asia-Pacific countries.

Brian graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Electronics Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer.

Product Management –
Edmund LAW

Edmund comes with a strong background in the advanced technology sector and has over 20 years of experience in product marketing, planning and engineering. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the formulation and execution of product and marketing strategy, managing the overall product life cycle from product inception through development to mass production. Prior to joining TWS, Edmund held various senior positions in Motorola Semiconductors.

As the VP of Product Management at TWS, Edmund is responsible for product strategy, marketing, research and development, program management, design and technology, new product introduction, and manufacturing automation as well as quality management.

Edmund graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, majoring in Electronic Engineering. He holds professional qualifications as a Chartered Engineer. He is also a Member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (US) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (UK).

Information Technology –
Richard FONG (BSc)

Richard has more than 25 years' experience in Information Technology. He has rich knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure, system implementation, IT security management, ERP applications and Data Warehousing. Prior to joining TWS, Richard held senior IT positions in various renowned companies such as Avery Dennison and Cathay Pacific Airways.

Richard is responsible for leading the Information Technology Organization to manage our global IT infrastructure, PLM, ERP and Data Warehouse applications. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Old Dominion University, USA.

General Manager, Japan Market –
Mr. T. Furukawa

Furukawa has more than 30 year experience in Sales and Marketing in electronics and industrial application products. He is now responsible for the Group's Business and Marketing in Japan region. He also leads the Japan R & D team in supporting customers on 3C products and industrial applications. Under his leadership, the Japan R & D team had developed a number of well-known patented technologies including the Mobile-AC device.

Prior to joining TWS, Furukawa spent 26 years in Mitsubishi Cable Industries of which more than 18 years focused on Lithium-ion business. He is one of the few pioneers in developing and promoting the Lithium-ion technologies and business in Japan market.
