On October 31, 2024, the 2024 "Guangdong-Hong Kong Cleaner Production Partner" Program Award Ceremony hosted by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province, and the Environment and Ecology Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region was held in Hong Kong. At the meeting, Tu Gaokun, Director of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province, and Tse Chin-wan, Secretary for Environment and Ecology, delivered speeches respectively, and presented plaques to corporate representatives with other leaders. 215 companies won the "Guangdong-Hong Kong Cleaner Production Partner" award, which is to commend their efforts in implementing clean production. TWS Technology was listed on Hong Kong-Guangdong Cleaner Production Partners (Manufacturing) Commendation, and was invited to attend the event and receive the award.
The "Guangdong-Hong Kong Cleaner Production Partner" Program was launched in 2008 by the Environmental Protection Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province. The program aims to encourage and assist Hong Kong-funded factories in Hong Kong and Guangdong Province to adopt clean production technologies and operating methods, reduce emissions and enhance energy conservation, thereby improving regional environmental quality. Based on the requirements of the green development, through on-site assessment by the Hong Kong Productivity Council, joint review by the Environmental Protection Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Department of Ecology and Environment, and the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, and after public announcement, Guangdong and Hong Kong jointly recognized a total of 215 enterprises in the 16th batch of "Guangdong-Hong Kong Clean Production Partners" in 2024, including 42 enterprises recognised as “Excellent Partners (Manufacturing)”, 149 enterprises recognised as “Partners (Manufacturing)”, 3 enterprises recognised as “Partners (Supply Chain)”, and 21 enterprises recognised “Partners (Technology Service)”.
