TWS Conflict-free Minerals Policy

1.Purpose 

This Policy aims to ensure all the products and components supplied to TWS Group do not directly or indirectly contain the “Conflict Minerals” from mines located in areas under the control of armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or an adjoining country. 

2.Scope of the application 

All the products and components supplied to TWS Group. 

3.Definition 

3.1 The “Conflict Minerals” includes but not limit to Cassiterite, Wolframite, Columbite, Gold or their derivatives mined from Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) or the adjoining country mines, especially for gold, tantalum, tin and tungsten. 

3.2 The adjoining countries include Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania and Kenya (The U.N. Security Council identified mines in those countries as DRC-mined minerals). 

4.Declaration and requirement 

4.1 TWS requires all suppliers to warrant that all products and components supplied to TWS Group do no directly or indirectly contain the “Conflict Minerals” from mines located in areas under the control of armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or the adjoining country. 

4.2 Supplier shall submit the relevant investigations on “Conflict Minerals” to TWS Group if required and ensure that all information provided is true and accurate. 

4.3 Supplier should take positive actions to defend, indemnify and hold TWS Group harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses arising out of or in relation to non-compliance with this Undertaking. 

5.This policy shall be effective immediately.
